Make Your Own Tortilla Press- 2 day class
Join us for a hands-on woodworking class where you’ll craft your very own wooden tortilla press from start to finish.
This beginner-friendly workshop - two day class- introduces you to essential woodshop tools and techniques while guiding you through each step of the build.
You’ll learn how to measure, cut, sand, drill, and assemble your press, gaining confidence with common shop equipment in a supportive and supervised environment.
By the end of class, you’ll leave with a fully functional tortilla press—perfect for making fresh, homemade tortillas —and a solid foundation in basic woodworking skills.
All materials and tools are provided. No prior experience needed!
Class Description: Create a stylish fabric basket that's perfect for organizing sewing supplies, toiletries, desk accessories, plants, or other everyday essentials. In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn how to sew with interfacing to give your basket structure, create boxed corners, and assemble a fully lined basket. You'll leave with a finished project that's both functional and a great addition to your home.
Who This Class Is For: This class is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to build confidence with sewing structured projects. We'll have sewing machines available, but we encourage you to bring your own so you can get comfortable using it.
Instructor: This class is taught by Noemi, a DIY-spirited maker who believes sewing is a skill anyone can learn. Her teaching style is hands-on, encouraging, and rooted in building confidence while you create something useful.
