Yakima Maker Space has a well-equipped clay work area, able to handle individuals and group classes.  We have throwing wheels, wear boards, kiln, glazes, tools and materials to help you make your art in clay.

Our instructors offer classes in both basic and advanced techniques, for children and adults.  Please see our Upcoming Events list and find a class that interests you.  If you are already proficient in clay work, you might find our Open Clay Studio on Monday afternoons/evenings to be a great place to work your craft in good company.  Details below.

Open Clay Studio

Open Clay Studio is a chance to work clay on your own while benefiting from the supervision and advice of an experienced instructor.  Participants are expected to have enough experience to work independently, including set-up, use, and cleaning of necessary equipment.

Open Clay Studio is held most Mondays (observed holidays excepted), from 3:30pm - 5:30pm, beginning Jan. 23, 2017.

YMS Members:  Free

Non-Members:  $10 drop-in fee

Eunsil Kim, the instructor, will be here to supervise and offer advice.

Clay that is used at Yakima Maker Space, must be purchased at Yakima Maker Space to ensure safety in our kilns.
